AI & iShootEvents

I am often asked if I am concerned about AI advancements with regards to photography services.

AI has become an indispensable part of my toolkit—helping me craft social-media posts and newsletters, boosting productivity, and ensuring faster delivery without compromising quality or raising rates for my clients.

One of my favourite AI-powered features is the eye-tracking autofocus in my cameras, which lets me capture decisive moments instantly—no more fiddling with manual focus. I also rely on batch editing and automated culling to streamline post-production.

While AI will continue to reshape professional photography, the human element remains irreplaceable. No algorithm can read the vibe of an event, anticipate a fleeting expression, or adapt in real time to shifting light and fast-moving subjects. Most importantly, AI can’t build relationships or connect with people the way a seasoned professional photographer can—and that’s where I truly shine.
